Mr. Esko Aho(Finland)
Executive Vice President, Corporate Relations and Responsibility
Nokia Corporation Prime Minister of Finland 1991-1995

Esko Aho heads Nokia's government and public affairs function, and oversees the company’s global policies and activities regarding sustainable development and social responsibility. Before joining Nokia in 2008, Esko enjoyed a long and distinguished career in government service. He was Prime Minister of Finland from 1991 to 1995, and later in 2000, he joined Harvard University as a lecturer. Currently, he is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) World Council and Vice Chair of ICC Finland, as well as a board member of the Technology Academy Finland. He also serves as a board member of Fortum Corporation and is Vice Chairman of the board of Technology Industries of Finland.

 

 


Mr. Barry Lam 林百里 (Taiwan)
Chairman & CEO
Quanta Computer Inc

Barry Lam has been described as a maverick among Taiwanese businessmen. Born and raised in Hong Kong, he moved to Taiwan to attend university. He started Quanta in 1988. Today, Quanta has an annual turnover over USD $23 billion. In addition to supplying technology products and solutions to Fortune 500 companies such as Apple, HP, Dell, IBM, Sony and others, Quanta provides a full array of mobile phones, mobile internet devices and servers and storage products. In 2005, Quanta and MIT announced “TParty”, a five-year, USD $20 million joint research collaboration project aimed at developing the next generation of platforms for computing and communication beyond personal computers. In 2002, Barry was highlighted on Business Week’s Top 25 Managers for making Quanta the number one notebook maker in the world. He has twice been named to Business Week’s fifty Stars of Asia. Barry is the Director of Cloud Gate Theatre Group and the Chairman of Quanta Education Foundation. The foundation has supported numerous charitable activities and promoted culture and arts to enrich people’s lives.

 

 


Mr. Peter Bishop (United Kingdom)
Deputy CEO & Director of Design Development and Environment
London Development Agency

Over the past 20 years Mr Peter Bishop has been a Planning Director in four different Central London Boroughs and has worked on major projects including Canary Wharf and the Kings Cross developments, one of the largest and most complex sites in London. He was appointed as the first Director of Design for London in 2006 and in 2008 as Deputy Chief Executive of the London Development Agency, responsible for design, land development and its environmental, housing and public space programmes. Peter lectures and teaches extensively and is a visiting professor at the faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the Nottingham Trent University.

 
 


Mr. Bob Elton (Canada)

Chair of the Board of Directors Immigrant Employment Council of British Columbia / Executive Chair, Powertech Labs Inc.

Bob Elton is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on the Skills Gap, which deals with issues around talent mobility and immigration. He is also Chair of the Immigrant Employment Council of BC, and Chair of Simon Fraser University Board of Governors. Mr Elton's professional experience includes being past CEO of BC Hydro, an electric utility with $5 billion of annual revenues, as well as being a past partner of Price Waterhouse Coopers. His tenure at BC Hydro was marked by a world-leading increase in the diversity of the company's leadership and work-force, as well as very strong sustainability agenda.
